Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has sanctioned additional Rs. 8.24 lakh for compensation of people affected in Rudrapur riots the previous year. The amount will be paid from Chief Minister Discretionary Fund. This will benefit 83 riot victims. Earlier, Rs. 36.21 lakh was sanctioned as compensation for 195 victims out of which 83 had not received the relief amount.
